I've downloaded the new Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority cert and the new Developer ID Certification Authority cert. Neither these, nor any of my other certificates, show 'This certificate has an invalid issuer' (although I now have reduced my My Certificates tab to just the one certificate). Later when you submit to the Mac App Store, you are asked to select the Mac Installer certificate to sign the installer package. Next, set the Code Signing Identity build setting to the Mac Submission certificate that begins with the text “3rd Party Mac Developer Application” as described in “Signing an App.” Run your app to verify that.
https://rxamix.weebly.com/blog/installing-apps-on-a-mac. Since Friday afternoon (BST) all of my apps that I've downloaded from Safari have become unverified and I needed to trust the developer. However, whenever I tried to verify the apps and trust the developers in setting, having pressed 'verify app' then 'verify' in the pop-up, nothing happens and the app remains unverified. I have tried what is suggested (restarting settings and device, restarting router, connecting to a different wireless network and checking ppq.apple.com is not blocked on my firewall) with no success. I've noticed that when I try to open ppq.apple.com (in any browser on any device) all that is there is 'Http/1.1 Service Unavailable'. On isitdownrightnow.com ppq.apple.com is listed as 'unavailable' and currently 'under maintenance', however it has been like this for 3 days so I doubt that it is still under maintenance.
Is is this only happening to me or is it everyone?
